Midwest Grain Products (MGP) Corporate Facilities

MGP's evolution, required new corporate offices and an innovative technical center to expand their research and development of naturally-derived ingredient solutions.  Based in Atchison, KS, MGP selected SKW to provide structural, mechanical and electrical engineering services for the design of two, new steel-frame facilities, each 19,000 s.f. with laboratories and offices.  Both buildings are framed with steel beams and columns.  The roof systems are a metal deck with steel bar joists bearing on steel beams.  The second floor framing systems are concrete on composite steel deck and composite steel beams.  The exterior walls of the buildings are brick veneer with steel stud supports.
