Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue
A historic Freight House in the Crossroads Art District was converted into a premier barbeque restaurant. SKW provided the mechanical, plumbing and fire protection services for this successful urban renewal project. The building was restored to limit waste reduction and many of the bricks were recovered and used as pavers around the building. The project integrated the building water source heat pump system with additional rooftop equipment to provide comfort and adequate kitchen makeup air. The lighting system was designed with energy conservation as a primary goal. To reduce the smoke stack emissions of the smoker chimney, a gas-fired after burner was employed.
