Applebee's International Headquarters

Applebee's International wished to locate their 200,000 s.f. Leadership Support Center on 30.7 acres of lakefront property in Lenexa, KS.  SKW assisted in accomplishing that goal while maintaining a focus on environmental responsibility.  SKW services included land survey and civil engineering, with site plans for stormwater management, conservation, ecological restoration, water quality, erosion, land disturbance, utilities infrastructure, and pavement.  Design strategies included a forbay, sand filter and wetland system to clean the site’s stormwater runoff and to filter the low flows from the public stormwater system.  The site achieved Silver LEED™ certification and has been recognized with numerous development and environmental awards.
