Monarch Cement Rock Belt #9
Monarch Cement selected SKW to prepare a detailed survey of an existing overhead conveyor belt system and associated support structures that were originally constructed in the 1950s at their plant in Humboldt, KS. The challenge on this project was that one end of the conveyor was 240' above the ground and the overall length of the belt was approximately 580'. The HDS scanner captured the critically accurate data that would have been physically impossible to obtain with conventional survey equipment.
