Coltrane Named Water Resources Manager

coltrane dl-casualDanny Coltrane, P.E., has been named to the position of interim Water Resources Manager. Coltrane takes responsibility for day-to-day management of the department which includes client development in the water and wastewater market, project staffing and execution, and quality assurance. 

In nearly 19 years with SKW, Coltrane has gained a diversified engineering background and been responsible for regional office management. He spent the first 13 years of his career in SKW’s Iola, Kan., office focused on municipal water, wastewater and other civil engineering projects. In 2005, he was named Associate owner and assigned management of the firm’s new Tulsa office helping Energy Services clientele. Since 2010, his focus has once again been on serving water and wastewater clients primarily in Kansas and Oklahoma.

“I enjoy working with clients with a water and wastewater focus. I’ve known many of our current clients for almost 20 years,” says Coltrane. “We have strong design teams at SKW. I look forward to working with them and all of the Water Resources clients. ”

Coltrane’s technical background includes specialization in pumping storage and distribution systems, and familiarity with cathodic protection of underground facilities. Having spent years working for local communities he is also knowledgeable of general civil, surveying, mapping and planning projects.  This experience includes comprehensive utility planning; multidisciplinary project management; public wholesale water supply districts, rural water districts, municipal water supply, treatment, distribution and storage; gravity and pressure sewage collection; steel and poly gas distribution systems; ARC GIS mapping and risk management.

Coltrane replaces former Water Resources Manager, Gary Cunningham, who served in the position since 2008.
