Community Funding Services
The cost of meeting community needs can be overwhelming even in the best economic times. While grants, low-interest loans and other funding opportunities abound, the process of identifying potential funding sources is extremely time and labor intensive. SKW invites you to take advantage of our Planning team's community funding expertise. We maintain an extensive data bank of federal and state programs and are well-versed in targeting the appropriate funding options for the intended project. The in-house team can provide a range of services regarding funding, which include:
- Funding studies (federal, state, foundation levels)
- Program recommendations
- Grant-writing
- Packet preparation
- Technical reviews of completed applications
- Literature reviews
- Evidentiary support
- Other “on call” work per client needs
Cities all across the nation have a "to-do" list that never seems to grow shorter, and may be forced to forego special projects in order to keep the community running. Year after year, municipalities with a limited number of staff and revenue stream miss out on much-needed funding that could improve upon or provide essential community infrastructure and services. Without being able to provide those essential services, the community cannot effectively address issues such as community character and aesthetics, business attraction, tourism or public art, to name a few.
The Planning team’s experience with funding studies, grant writing and program guidance continues to grow and expand. Clients have found our grant-writing and funding study services extremely helpful during the recession and in deciphering the complex American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
The professional staff of SKW utilizes the internal firm expertise in order to prepare effective, efficient and timely problem–solving techniques as a value-added benefit. This comprehensive and innovative view of client service and commitment not only showcases the firm’s ability to adapt to changes in our economic climate, but illustrates why SKW continues to be a leader in the industry.
