SKW Enhances Client Service through Realignment

SKW is pleased to announce the establishment of a consolidated Infrastructure and Development Services Division to enhance our service to clients in the municipal and land development marketplaces. SKW has been a provider of these services dating back to its inception in 1950. As SKW’s business has expanded to now include eight office locations, these services were frequently provided on a distributed, office-to-office, basis. The realignment brings together the specialized expertise of the entire firm and collectively focuses it on the individual needs of these specific markets. The following employees have received new leadership positions as a result of the realignment:

realignment team-10Gerald Johnson, P.E., LEED AP (Vice President, Division Manager, Infrastructure and Development Services) is responsible for the overall management and performance of the Division, which consists of four departments: Water Resources, Infrastructure Services, Development Services and Field Services. On a Corporate level, Jerry is involved with ongoing strategic planning to keep the Division efforts focused and aligned with other Divisions and Board of Directors’ guidance. On the Division level, Jerry is responsible for the overall functioning of the four market service sectors which includes: business planning, technical quality, staff development, resource utilization and allocation, business practices and client relationships. Jerry has been with SKW since 1972.

Gary Cunningham, P.E. (Manager of Water Resources) is responsible for managing the Water Resources Department for water and wastewater projects, which includes coordinating efforts in every phase of any given project, including marketing, contract negotiations, project staffing and execution, quality assurance/quality control, bidding and construction. Another significant part of Gary's job is coordinating with other departments and divisions at a corporate level. Gary draws upon nearly two decades of experience.

David Hamilton, P.E. (Principal, Manager of Infrastructure Services) is responsible for managing the Infrastructure Services Department on project types including: community planning, roads/highways, bridges, traffic operations, parks and recreation, and city engineering.  His responsibilities include business development planning and execution, administrative duties, and ensuring quality services are provided. David is well-known within the consulting industry, and has been with SKW since 1981.

Mike Hall, P.E. (Manager of Development Services) is responsible for managing the Development Services Department on project types including: site planning, land development, landscape architecture, permitting, stormwater and building structure. His responsibilities consist of strategic positioning, business development planning and execution, administrative duties, and ensuring quality services are provided. Mike joined SKW with 14 years of design and management experience.

Larry Graham, P.E., P.L.S. (Principal, Manager of Field Services) is responsible for managing the Field Services Department on survey, construction observation and material testing projects. Larry sets policies regarding professional practices of the department, monitors performance, and sets staffing levels. He works closely with other department and division managers to ensure clients are well cared for, deadlines are met, and work is performed in a professional and efficient manner. Larry has been with SKW since 1971.

Tom Smith, C.E.T., L.S. (Principal, Development Services) will maintain local clients while working on expansion of services in SKW’s Tulsa and Houston offices. Tom’s primary responsibility includes expanding client base through business development and also through the dedication to the efficiency, profitability, and execution of project engagements. Often working as part of a collaborative project team, Tom has established strong relationships with many area consultants, as well as coordinating these efforts with municipalities, contractors and utility companies. Tom has been with SKW since 1969.
