Larry Schall Inducted into Academy of Civil Engineers

On April 17th, Larry accepted the honor from his Alma Mater.  He earned his BSCE from UMR in 1971 and after a few years in public works engineering, joined SKW in 1984.  Since that time he has served SKW as Principal owner and Executive Vice President, and currently serves as Client Liaison responsible for business development.

The Academy of Civil Engineers was founded in 1972.  From a charter membership of fifteen, approximately 250 members have now been elected into the Academy.  Each member is either an outstanding civil engineering practitioner or one who is outstanding, recognized and distinguished in a field other than civil engineering.
All are recognized community  leaders and role models.
They are called upon by the department to be partners in the education of Missouri S & T engineering students.  Induction into the academy is by invitation only and the nomination of each person must receive positive support from the prestigious group.

Larry is the third member of SKW’s staff to be inducted into the Academy.  Wayne Whitehead (Columbia) received the honor in 2007, and President, Ron Petering (Lenexa) was a 2008.
