Water Treatment Plant Disinfection System Design
Marshall Municipal Utilities (MMU) had been operating a chlorine gas system for disinfection of their drinking water, which was reaching the end of its useful life and needed several safety improvements. SKW provided engineering services to study and evaluate the existing system. We developed and analyzed several alternatives, however, the most effective option was to convert to an on-site sodium hypochlorite generation system. SKW completed the design and provided construction administration and inspection services. SKW also designed a new building to house the new system.
