Public Wholesale Water Supply District No. 13 Critzer Dam
This monumental project is one of the largest water supply and flood control reservoirs built in eastern Kansas. PWWSD No. 13, near Mound City, offers water supply to a combination of area communities. SKW provided assistance in securing multiple grants and loans to create a reservoir, water treatment plant and distribution system to serve the area. The 1,692’ dam has a drainage area of 13.34 square miles. A 14” water line from Critzer feeds the water treatment plant which directly benefits 6,000 people. SKW’s services included design and engineering of dam, water plant and distribution lines; quality control; permit services; the distribution system and the water treatment plant.
