Benton County Courthouse North Porch

SKW provided structural engineering services for the removal and replacement of the Benton County Courthouse North Entry Porch in Warsaw, MO.  Originally constructed in 1887, the existing porch was added to the building in the ‘60s and a side ramp was added to the porch in the ‘80s, neither of which met current ADA Standards.  SKW worked with the architect and the Benton County Commission to provide a new porch, steps, and handicap ramp to meet current standards.  In addition, the porch is covered with a second floor balcony and roof over the balcony to more closely resemble a courthouse entry of the period it was originally constructed.
