Riverside Comprehensive Master Plan
The development of the City of Riverside Master Plan evolved through an extensive public participation process with stakeholder interviews, a community-wide citizen survey, a community-wide business survey and town hall meetings. At the town hall meetings, citizens worked in groups to assist the consultant team in refining the development scenarios for presentation to the City’s Planning Commission and Board of Aldermen. The Riverside Master Plan not only received the 2006 Missouri American Planning Association Award for an Outstanding Plan, but its recommendations are already being implemented and progress towards achieving the community’s goals is evident.
