Oregon Trail Park Improvements

Improvements to the existing 18-acre Oregon Trail Park in Olathe, KS, began with a Park Master Plan evaluating the City's needs and creating the project budget.  SKW provided construction and bidding documents along with assistance throughout construction for the plans, which implemented the desired elements of the Master Plan prepared by SKW.  The renovated park includes four little league ball fields, a new concession/restroom building, two picnic shelters, a playground, a walking trail, an open play field, an expanded pond with wetlands and fishing pier, a 277-car parking lot,  and landscaping throughout the park.  SKW incorporated stormwater cleansing elements into the design.
