Johnson County Emergency Communications Center
The building and site goals for the Johnson County Emergency Communications Center located in Olathe, KS, focused on construction of a durable, mission-critical building which is sensitive to the environment. The 40,000 s.f. office building, which houses the County communications hub and emergency dispatch operations, has accomplished just that, including LEED™ Gold certification. As part of the collaborative design-build team, SKW's services included planning, surveying, engineering and construction document preparation. SKW’s work included preliminary and final site development, sanitary sewer main extension, site improvement parking lot plans, storm sewer and detention plans, and land disturbance, grading plan and NPDES permits.
