North Kansas City GIS Needs Assessment Plan
The City of North Kansas City, MO, identified a need to collect, manage and distribute electronic information which existed in various forms throughout City Departments. SKW initiated a series of surveys and interviews to identify the data and how it might be used in order to create a Needs Assessment Plan. The plan detailed data sources from which the City could obtain and input into their GIS including: parcel, aerial photography, utility infrastructure and property ownership. SKW presented the plan to the City staff with descriptions of the existing information, notations of the format of that data, and implementation recommendations.
