Riverside-Quindaro Levee
6", 8" & 30" Pipeline (Phases I, II, III)
Riverside, MO

SKW worked with Missouri Gas Energy (MGE) to relocate gas pipelines as requested by the Riverside Quindaro Levee District, an organization working since 1918 to construct a levee to prevent flooding in the Quindaro - Riverside area.

All gas pipelines were removed within the footprint of the new $67 million levee built and rerouted up and over the top of the new levee (no gas pipelines are permitted under the levee after construction).  For design and construction purposes, the new levee was divided into three sections.  Construction was completed with SKW on site observing and recording construction activities.

SKW provided hydraulic uplift calculations for relocated gas pipelines as required by the Corps of Engineers.  Levee completion opened up 1,000 acres of land for new development.
