Plattsburg, MO The City of Plattsburg, MO, population 2,200, is located about 35 miles north of the Kansas City metro area. The City's public and private sectors came together in a partnership to improve the community's central business district and to enhance the City's reputation as a short-stay destination. Planned revitalization efforts included sidewalk installation and repair, and ADA curb compliance; installation of 58 traditional style street lights and poles; under grounding of street light service lines; street mill and overlay; and construction of the David Rice Atchison pocket park adjacent to the City courthouse square.
