SKW performed site civil engineering for the Southridge Expansion to Lakeview Village in Lenexa, KS.  The beautifully wooded 90-acre, senior lifestyle community campus, which first opened in 1964, is home to 631 residents and features two lakes.  Southridge is the latest addition to the Lakeview campus.

SKW's expansion site civil design included plans for water mains, sanitary sewer, and a stormwater system including inlets to collect stormwater at the surface, pipes to convey the stormwater and a detention basin to store the stormwater.  SKW also performed site grading, plans for additional parking spaces, sidewalks, and the street and parking lot lighting system. 

The 255,000 s.f., $31 million expansion was built with seniors in mind with underground parking to protect residents from inclement weather, a community garden, bike and walking paths, connecting sidewalks and ramps.  SKW provided construction staking services to the general contractor.
