SKW has provided land surveying, planning, civil engineering, structural engineering, electrical engineering and environmental services for multiple development phases of the Cerner World Headquarters in North Kansas City, MO.  SKW became involved with the office park during its original development, known as the Rock Creek Office Center.  Since that time, SKW has worked together with Cerner and associated architects to develop and expand the site into one of the area’s most well-known campus facilities.

The civil engineering aspects of the latest campus building facilities were developed while giving serious consideration to the overall balance of excavation and embankments of the individual building sites.  SKW’s services included site planning/design, platting, site grading, street and parking lot design, stormwater design, sanitary sewer design, utility coordination, topographic / boundary surveys and construction staking.
