Barry Road Improvements

As part of the multi-year/phase Barry Road Improvements, SKW is providing surveying, transportation and traffic engineering, as well as construction services for approximately three miles of roadway improvements in Kansas City, MO.  In recent years, this urban area has seen massive growth in retail, educational and residential developments.

N. Prairie View / I-29 to Stoddard – This phase widened Barry Road from one to three lanes in each direction from I-29 west to Stoddard.  The improvements required major modifications to traffic signals at the ramp of I-29 & Barry as well as Barry & Prairie View.  SKW also provided services for the widening and relocation of Prairie View Road for approximately 1,470' south of Barry.  Coordinating improvements were also designed by SKW and included new enclosed drainage, sidewalks and street lighting.  Construction for this phase was completed in summer 2004.
