SKW provided design and construction observation services to replace the Big Turkey Creek Bridge on Poor Boy Road in Benton County.  This Bridge Replacement Off-System (BRO) project included a new alignment of the bridge and approach roadway.  SKW's services included surveying, preliminary plans, permit applications, right-of-way plans and legal descriptions, final plans, bidding assistance and construction observation.  An archeological study revealed a historic site where no excavation was allowed.  The project produced a three-span, prestressed I-girder bridge with span lengths of 50’-95’-50’ and a roadway width of 24’ at a skew of 50 degrees.  SKW’s construction observers provided contract administration as well as construction inspection of all reinforcement and concrete placement for footings, bents, abutments and deck.  SKW also observed pile driving, girder setting and the approaches.
