SKW provided professional services in the preparation of roadway and bridge design plans for grading, paving, drainage, realignment and replacement of a bridge over the Platte River on Humphrey's Access Road in Platte County, MO. The new bridge is a 451' long, 3-span, 2-lane, composite steel plate I-girder structure.

Project services included a thorough field topographic survey and descriptions for use in obtaining new right-of-way and easements.  Bridge design accounted for the hydraulic and hydrological evaluation of the site, and preliminary and final bridge design.  Road design includes preliminary design (including a cultural resources survey), right-of-way plans, and final design, including job specific bid documents utilized during the bid process.

SKW’s construction observers provided full time inspection for all major items of the bridge construction, including pile driving, footings, shafts, bent construction, girder setting, deck and approach slabs.
