(SKW) has moved our Landscape Architecture, Planning and Stormwater Management Departments, previously located in North Kansas City, to our corporate office in Lenexa, KS. The move allows us to consolidate several of our complimentary disciplines into one location, strengthening our ability to provide a full-service partnering experience.

SKW was ranked as number 369 in the Top 500 Design Firms for 2008 published by the Engineering News Record. In 2007, SKW was ranked number 500. Firms are ranked according to revenue for design services performed in 2007.

CAPSTONE AWARDS 2008 

On April 15th the Kansas City Business Journal handed out their third-annual Capstone Awards. SKW provided services for 3 projects that were nominated and/or received Capstone Awards including:

 We are proud to announce that SKW won the Award of Excellence in the Hardscapes category of the 2007 National Concrete Masonry Association (NCMA) awards competition for our work on the Seven Bridges MSE Bridge Headwalls project in Platte County, MO.

SHAFER, KLINE & WARREN, INC. MOVES CORPORATE OFFICE TO LENEXA

Overland Park, KS – Shafer, Kline & Warren, Inc. (SKW) is preparing to write another chapter in company history.  While celebrating their 57th year in business, the surveying, planning and engineering firm is preparing to relocate their corporate office to the Southlake Technology Park in Lenexa.  Having outgrown their building in Overland Park, SKW announced plans in January to purchase the office building formerly occupied by Quintiles at 11250 Corporate Avenue.
  
The move is a reflection of the firm’s recent growth, as well as their commitment to the Johnson County community.  In each of the past three years SKW has seen substantial increases in revenue, and expects 2007 to again be a record year.  That growth has left SKW with the challenge of accommodating additional staff and equipment.
