Shafer, Kline & Warren, Inc. (SKW) provides project management and field services for natural gas and liquid pipeline companies. Specific services include code compliance, facility design and upgrade, pipeline integrity management, assessments, corrosion analysis, corrosion control and design, operations, and maintenance.

SKW is seeking a Pipeline Integrity Manager to oversee natural gas and liquid pipeline projects nationwide from our Tulsa, OK office.

The successful candidate must have a proven track record of managing a growing staff of professional engineers and technicians, developing client contacts and relationships, preparing scope of services, developing business strategies, budgeting, project management, and business plan development.  A solid working knowledge of DOT CFR 49 Part 192, including ECDA, ICDA, ILI, and Hydro test methods is also required.

Responsibilities will include:  Planning, directing, and monitoring operational activities of a staff of engineers and field technicians with accountability for cost, direction, and people management; Applying subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex technical issues; Interfacing with clients, subcontractors and other SKW offices; Recruiting and supporting the development of direct staff members; Providing guidance on process improvements and recommend changes; and Preparing reports outlining the outcome of technical projects.

Extensive field work and travel may be required. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check and be able to satisfy the requirements for a TWIC card.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or closely related field, or a four-year technical degree from a recognized technical institute and more than 5 years of experience and/or training such as NACE; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with natural gas or liquid pipelines and/or corrosion control is a plus. Must have demonstrated ability to write technical procedures and create technical reports. A solid knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Project is also desired.
