Pipeline Engineer/Technician, North Kansas City, MO

Location:  North Kansas City, Missouri

SKW is seeking a Pipeline Engineer/Technician to work from our North Kansas City, MO office on natural gas and liquid pipeline projects nationwide. Responsibilities will include planning and defining project scope, activity planning, developing schedules, time and cost estimating, quality control, risk analysis and management. Extensive field work and travel may be required. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or closely related field, or a two- or four-year technical degree from a recognized technical institute and more than 5 years of experience and/or training such as NACE; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience with natural gas or liquid pipelines and/or corrosion is a plus.  Must have demonstrated ability to write technical procedures and create technical reports.  A solid knowledge of MS Excel is also desired.

Location:      Tulsa, OK; Houston, TX; Kansas City, MO; Nationwide

Description:     The Controls Engineer/Technician will participate in all aspects of oil/gas and electric utility power projects. Minimum requirements include a strong background in DCS/PLC/RTU control, HMI software, and instrumentation; experience with Factory and Site Acceptance Testing, commissioning and startup at the customer site; and good writing and communication skills. A thorough understanding of P&ID’s as well as programming in Ladder Logic, C or C++, or BASIC is a plus. Field work and travel may be required. The selected candidate will be required to pass a DOT pre-employment drug screen.

Additional requirements include a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Engineering or closely related field; or a two- or four-year technical degree from a recognized technical institute and more than 5 years of related experience and/or training such as previous employment with a pipeline operating company or systems integrator; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
